NEED HELP! trigger group

So after the range with my new m14s (poly tech batch 2009) i decided to take it apart again and clean it up. After cleaning and putting back my trigger assembly i ran into a big problem. While atempting to shove the trigger pin back into place i some how accidently cocked the hammer back and at the same time the safety spring came lose, and now the hammer is locked into psoition to where i am un able to move it and any of the parts to take apart to start all over .... and my #### fell off at that moment .... knowning i had a big problem. Can anyone help?

I believe you can just slide it back in the stock. That's the way mine looks before i put it back in

trigger pin and safety aren't in place.

1/ You are playing with some pretty strong springs. Find some eye protection.

2/ put the "floorplate" into a vise with lots of padding to avoid scratches.

3/ Rip the side out of a cardboard box and place it around the trigger group in the vice...I hate hunting for parts that hit the far wall and went somewhere after that.

4a/ try to push the pin all the way out with a taper punch. If that works you should be able to pull the punch out and start again.

4b/ put a couple of wraps of masking tape around a kitchen knife (scratches again) and try to free the hammer from the two tangs that hold the hammer in the fire position.

I am only guessing...

Tryed prying it out with a few tools but because the trigger is stuck in an odd position with the hammer cocked their isn't much movement for the hammer to release from prongs holding it. Looks like might have to resort to calling a gunsmith. Thanks for the suggestions and help.

You could purchase a trigger group from the EE if your other efforts are not sucessfull.

Is there a way to copy that video so that I have it in my computer?

I have done the same thing . I do not recall what I did to get it back apart and corrected, but rest assured you can un do it ! I was able to do it about 8 years ago when I was new at all of this.
Keep messing with it and you will get it uncocked .
