need help. US training course (carbine)

Just remember Buds, you're a foreign national receiving training in the US, you could be from Afghanistan, or Canada it doesn't matter to them.

I know it should make a difference but it doesn't the "State Dept" is a big machine. They want the TAA.

thanks guys. i got almost everything and they are sending a letter. you need a letter for ATF and for DHS. and ATF NIA 6 you need hunting licence. which will cost me five mins and maybe 10$. i am still lokking for a carbine. thats why i am looking for a barrel (C8 SFW) its not easy well i might as well go with m1 carbine. anyhelp will be great! i need a barrel profile so can have it made!

I was unaware that there was "permission checks" by the ATF/ FBI whatever

for canadian's who wish to attend schools such as

LMS and Tacticle Response (US courses for fun reasons, 30rnd mags, maybe supressors and FA)

or ESI

Some companies don't enforce it - but it is their ass.

However DoS looks more at the ex-CAG, DevGru. HRT etc folk teaching...

again you cant bring a USGI m1 carbine they will refuse it on the form 6

do a temp upper trade with someone you know for your ar15 with an over 16" barrel and your ok

well, sorry guys but more bad news.

well, i really need help from you guys. i got a carbine course in oct and almost every thing are ready to go. got my hunting licence, gears all good to go and so on .i even got a new carbine made for this, almost done by dlask arms with a bushmaster lower. all i need ATF NIA 6. well, here is a problem, i just talk to the ATF firearm tech and he told me "no way in the hell you are taking that (carbine) to US". i have been down to US before with a rifle (ar180b) it was fine. now, whats going on?. last time i check ar-15 is ok as long as made in US with a 16 inchs barrel. now the plan i been working on for 3 months just went out of window. if you can please some one let me know what should i do.
ps i have three plans
1 just take a canadian made handgun(dlask 1911)
2 push my luck and do the paper work with carbine and handgun.
3 go with US made P 226 without a carbine (will work for sure but i dont want to)
sorry i dont have pic for carbine yet
here are pics

thank you

Buds, guns in the US are like Canada geese in Canada, talk to the course provider and ask if you can borrow a carbine for the course? with enough notice this could happen, most US citizens have at lease 1-2 AR's in there possession. No worries for you and buddy gets the course fee. Too easy :)

that is my backup plan, but last time i was running around with a borrowed carbine things went from bad to WTF in a half min. please dont ask long story.

Im going in August to the US for a rifle course.
Faxed the form 6 to ATF along with the letter from the course showing I was registered.
Received permision within six weeks to entered the US with the rifle and 250 rounds of ammo.
Apparantly the approval is good for a year as long as I have another course booked or for hunting / competetion.
