Hello,
I am hoping that someone can assist me. I have the basic model Henry lever action and I have two problems. One is that for some reason rounds get caught on the little feed ramp on the carrier and it shaves the bottom of the lead ball as it goes into battery. How can I get it to feed properly. I can only assume the little lead shavings drop into the depths of the carrier or the receiver.
The other problem is the bolt is grating against the top of the hammer when you're working the action. The motion to eject is smooth. But when you work the lever back to load a round it's really gritty. I can see on the tip of the hammer where the bottom surface of the bolt is polishing the hammer.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
