I'm hoping someone can tell me what this is! It is registered as a Beretta model "Side by Side". It's a 20gauge SxS, made probably in 1959 (XV ?).

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have scoured the net, and I own the World of Beretta book, it sort of looks like some of their hammer pigeon guns? I'm a bit of a newb here so please bear with me!

Mis-identified ???

I'm fairly certain you are looking at exactly what it says it is ...
a hammer gun manufactured by Eugenio Pedrazzini. Don't
for one second believe it's a Beretta ( although Beretta does still make a
high-grade sidelock hammer gun [Diana] in their Custom Shop )

There are and have been over the years, literally hundreds of gunmakers in Italy's largest gun-making town/region where Beretta is also located... Brescia, Gardonne, Val Trompia.

Eugenio ( a fairly common Italian first name) Pedrazzini was listed on a document of Italian Gunsmith's I ran across, " Armierii Italiani" as being active in Brescia between 1945 and 1980 ...

It's much the same in Spain's Basque Region (Eibar) and in Southern England (London & Birmingham) - where most of the country's gun-making was concentrated ... and much like it was previously in New England in the US years ago ... and most of that within a few hours of New York City ( Hartford, New Haven, Springfield, Ithaca, Syracuse etc. )

Concentrate your search on Pedrazzini .... not Beretta.
