Need help with full length rail and AR stock adapter

I picked up the Mesa "high tube" AR stock adapter and a full length rail separately off the EE. I seem to be missing the spacer that fits between the rail and the stock adapter (see the picture for a shotgun that DOES have the spacer) Does anybody know where I can find this? I hit up S&J but they don't seem to have such a thing. Any help is much appreciated!

I have the S&J Messa rail like yours. Thee is no spacer on the top of the rail. Did you mean the "adaptor shim" between the receiver and the grip block? If so, just talk to Simon at S&J. He should know what it is...

I wish I could explain better. I can see on a number of other shotguns running the same set up as I'm after there is a "spacer" between the stock adapter and the rail. This spacer lifts the rail high enough to clear the receiver. I made an amazingly accurate diagram using MSPaint in a hope of explaining better:

if this doesn't help I'll hold all my parts in place and show the empty space where I need the spacer to be!
