Looks like the same action as used in the Marlin 322. I believe your rifle is the L46, which was introduced in 1946.
 
L46 any idea on years on production? I don't know if the pic showed the bolt clearly but it has a knurled flat top.I read somewhere [Jack O'Conner] that the Innuit preferred this for a seal and walrus gun in the 50's...........How about value? Harold
 
I have no idea of the year of manufacture. They are quite rare so I can't say too much about the price. Epps has a Marlin version for $699, so I guess $750 is a good start. The Marlin is actually even more rare.
