Need help with Lyman receiver sights.

Hi all,

I need help finding what rifle models these fit on. The complete sight is a Lyman mod 57 MR and the base is a 66 MD. I suspect they are for Marlins but don`t know which models. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

That's a fine old 57 Lyman you have.
The old catalogues, like Ellwood Epps, had the listings showing what number a rifle required.
If you don't find out any other way, you could ask me and I will try and see if I have anything on it.

The 66MD base is for the model 56 or 57 Marlin rifle. The 57 MR is for the Marlin 80 to 81 series rimfire rifles.

I`ll check that MR stamping again because it makes no sense. The mod 80 Marlin has a round receiver and this sight has a flat sided receiver base.
