so yeah the mount is down in the back and gunsmith is trying to fix it will cost me a coffee but long as it works lol he is going to lap the front ring to try and bring it to a level plain so can get enough adjustment. I was thinking of makeing a new male dove tail for the back part of the mount and see if that would work.

Assuming the gun is actually level (hard to find anything to reference level off of) That would probably be enough to make you run out of elevation adjustment. The other problem may be your choice of scope. I know the tascos are relatively cheap, it may just not have enough internal adjustment.
You may want to look into the Burris Signature Zee rings. They use a plastic type insert that can have a slightly offset hole in it, you can rotate the inserts in a cam type action to physically zero the scope. You get it close, then use the scopes adjustments to fine tune.

Little up date tested adjusting the scope out in ma basement and it stops adjusting at about 100+ going up so its def the scope.Well atleast i got about 200 bucks still from my bow i sold can pick up a better scope and rings.

A scope worth buying is not going to be cheap. The Bushnell 10X40 Elite or Redfield is prob the cheapest you want to go. The Redfield is a pretty good deal by the look of it. The added benifit is their gaurantee. I'd stay away from the BSA's etc. You may have good luck with them or you may find your buying a new scope in six months. The more I think about it, I think for the cash a Redfield 2-7X33 or 4-12X40 would be my pick. Take away the gaurantee and I may change my tune, but a lifetime warrantee for that price is hard to beat.

What make of mount are you using???? Some can be adjusted to make them sit "level".........

In my experience you usually run into mounting issues with the cheaper mounts.......

Also remember that M14s are hard on optics...........so cheap scopes usually don't last as well.......
