Hey guys. I have a NECG peep sight on order. I bought a new cz carbine in 223 it is the new versiOn with very nice updated iron sights. Has a red fibre optic in front and a tall two dot rear sight. I want a peep though so I’m stuck on whether or not my front sight will be tall enough for this NECG peep sight. Any thoughts, ideas?

My solution was to order the high, brass faced Patrige sight, particularly since I prefer a flat top rectangular post anyway, and the brass is visible against most backgrounds, appearing dark against white, and white against dark.

Nice. Except yours is the old model right? I have the new version went He front sight is setup differently so I don’t know
Which front sight to get now. Has a small slot where the fiver optic blade drops straight down into a tiny narrow slot. Then has two Allen key holes in front looking down the bore. I guess to adjust the height of the sight for elevation?

Because the aperture sight sits on the receiver, rather than the barrel, I'll bet its too high to zero with the factory front sight. If the front sight design has changed significantly, you might need to have a custom sight built on your fiber optic sight base, if you're intent upon using the ghost ring. Too bad, the Brno/CZ slotted base, which retains the sight insert with a spring loaded plunger, works well.

Rumor is the new sight is height adjustable but for some reason CZ won't publish instructions? Call or email CZ and if you don't have the patience for a reply you could try playing with the set screws.

1 hour of fitting for the front sight. Great service ordering from NECG.
