According to Mallory's book 1897 Artillery Carbines have rear eyelet 10 cm or about 4 inches in front of buttplate. 1895 Cavalry Carbine has Eyelets for rear sling swivel is directly behind the pistol grip.
I also have an 1895 Cavalry Carbine, mine is golden blonde European Beech stocked. And post 1908 mod of eyelet moved to T guard. And a round handle like yours. I suspect my stock was also made post 1908, has cleaning rod hole filled.
Your rifle looks nice. I have seen one advertised here, last year for $500. And a collector I know was asking $1000. 1912 Carbines go for $1500 and the 1894 Lang Krag $1500+. All things being equal, condition etc.
