Hey Guys/Gals,

I bought this Tasco 3x9x40 scope with the rubber coating on it from an auction a few weeks ago and I will be damned if I can find a mount for it. It has it's own rail on the bottom of the scope itself which means I can't mount scope rings on it. The rail at the muzzle end is ribbed, kind of like a Pictanny rail but not as aggressive and as it works it's way back it's smooth then steps up towards the scope just a hair then has an 1/8" stop at the end. I haven't been able to find anything that will match up to this so I can mount it on a dove tail or any gun mount system?:bangHead::eek:

Ah TRASHCO..............................

Funny... I've currently got a Tasco Varmint sitting on my Remington 700 VTR in .308 and it's the ONLY scope that I've put on there that has lasted. Both one Bushnell that I had crapped out and the other brand new Bushnell had to be sent back for warranty work.

Using the Tasco Ive been picking off golf balls at 200 yards with it day in and day out and if I miss, it's my fault, not the scope.

As for the OP is it possible to post a picture or link to a picture online of this scope and mounting system?

I'd guess the rail is specific to some gun. Can you just unscrew the rail and tear the rubber coating off the scope?

Just a wild guess here.

I remember years ago these rubber coated Tasco's were advertised as to fit on the carrying handle of an AR15.

I know next to nothing about black rifles so like I said, just a guess.:D
