I may sale one of my shotguns, but I’ve been out of the shotgun loop for a while and I’m unsure of the value....
It’s a Winchester Super X2 (all black), I think they are 28” barrel, interchangeable chokes, 2 3/4” - 3 1/2”. Its roughly 12 years old, probably seen about 4000-5000 rounds. Still looks good and functions great, obviously has the usual wear and tear scuffs. I’d call it 75-85% range.

Any ideas what I should ask?

Local Canadian Tire has a SX2 Sporting new old stock for 625$. 500$ for your gun would be more in line I’d say. The used SX3s in camo or wood are 6-750$ used.

Of all the Super X series I loved my X2 the best. I literally wore it out and sold it for parts.

I have not heard of a x2 wearing out. They are pretty much browning golds as you know which last forever
What happened to your x2 that required a part out
Cheers

I wore the magazine tube out of round so a follower would not travel squarely down it, two sets of trigger return springs, nearly no blueing on the receiver, rib let go several times, staked it back in place a few times, screw holding rib sheared once. The gun was well used when I got it but I used to hunt and shoot a lot then.

Had a BPS previous to the SX2 that I wore the receiver metal by the magazine so thin from carrying it would cut you if you weren’t careful. Sold the X2 to get an X3, bought and X4 with wood stock as well. Have settled on a Cynergy now, hopefully it will last me a decade or so.

Man oh man. Remind me to never buy a shotgun from you LOL
Wearing out a receiver from handling it. Christ do you have sand paper for skin :)
I own 4 golds and two x2 still and other than two broken plastic followers in the golds zero issues
Are you sure the well used was not for a canoe paddle
Cheers

Like I said, I hunted a lot. I was in college, I shot 3 days a week out side hunting season. During those 3 years I’d used to hunt everyday of the season for something with wings. Unfortunately my days of triple digits number of birds shot a year and thousands of hours hunting are behind me until my son is old enough to accompany me.

I’ll settle for 30-40 trips with my bird dog instead, it’s a hard life but I suppose someone has to do it.
