Hello All!
I Just purchased my first 303 british, It is a Jungle Carbine. But it is missing the upper handguard. Any idea where I could find one to restore this ole' lead thrower to its former glory, any direction would be nice. :ar15::ar15:thanks

Hmm, that could be a tough one to find.

You have the metal band on it, but not the handguard?

Personnally I probably would try to contact Brian, at BDL ltd, first.

Any other ideas, folks?

Lou

thanks for the reply louthepou.
yes I have the barrel band but not the top handguard.
who is BDL ltd, and where are they located?

G

He's called Brian, at ht tp://www.bdlltd.com/

Small business in the States (by small I mean one man operation pretty much), but he's been helpful for me quite a few times.

Brian #### Limited. His stuff is expensive. Because he knows his stuff, only gets really good stuff in, and does things right. You might find it cheaper elsewhere. It might take a little or a long time. Good luck.

not saying it wasn't just lost, but IIRC malaysia modified some #5's by removing the handguard. i think they left enough wood to hold the barrel band though. so is the handguard gone, or has it been cut?

THanks for all the help guys, much appreciated. have also noticed that the
"Barrell Band Grove" is missing from the lower hand guard portion.
maybe one of those from IIRC malaysia.
Yes, I will try to qattach some pics.

(I have to say, I am reallllllly liking this site.)

On Milsurps.com, you will find the Jouster forum section. Find a thread with Peter Laidler, show him your pics and ask what's what. He of all people will know well.
