My CZ 457 heavy barrel in .17hmr is arriving soon.

I ordered a VORTEX DIAMONDBACK TACTICAL 4-16X44 FFP EBR-2C MRAD scope for it, but Wolverine didn’t have any high 11mm scope rings in stock.

My question is which brand of scope rings will work best for the Vortex scope and where can I find them? Of course I want to buy from a Gun Nutz sponsor.

Thanks

I've used BKL rings with great results, a CGN member told me he ordered them directly from the manufacturer...I've ordered mine from D&L Airgun in BC. These are the 30mm options;

You could try a CGN Sponsor like Prophet River-tell them what gun/scope you have, I'm sure they can set you up. As an option, Nordic Marksman (like PR) are positively superb to deal with and seem to have allot of good options. I'm actually planning on reaching out to them soon with a scope ring question, they seem to have at least one brand of ring I haven't seen anywhere else.

Have you tried any rings at all? You might not need High, I have Vortex Pro Low rings on my Sav B22-FV and have ca 1/16" clearance of the bell - all you need unless you're trying to use irons with a 'see-thru' ringset.

BKL and Sportsmatch UK are probably the best bet for quality and availability of high 11mm rings and scope mounts.
Alternatively, one could also use picatinny rings on top of an 11mm->picatinny base or clamp rail adaptors. The latter is only useful if you were transferring the optic from rifle to rifle.

I’d wait and check when the scope arrives. No point in going high if you don’t have to . Med will probably be ok. I’ve just run through the same thing Brno #4 (16mm) dovetail. Buying one too high is a costly mistake. Check if a buddy has a few sets you can try. I know I have many. Good luck.

Sorry…. I posted the dumbest newbie optics question ever…

30mm vortex rings from Cabellas will do… I got the scope from Wolverine. Of course the rings will fit on the 11mm wide CZ rail.

It will be very nice. I’ll post a photo in the appropriate place when its all together.

To clarify, are they Vortex dovetail rings for the 11mm dovetails that are on the CZ 457 models?
