Need immediate help with Abbreviationsof Scopes

Which Scope should i buy? for a Savage Axis 223 at up to 500 yards.

From my hour of searching online and checking Sightrons website for FAQ's or anything of that sort, i give up.

I need definitions of these following abbreviations.

LR - (FROM Sightron SIII LR 8-32 X 56 Mildot) - guessing its long range?
CM - (FROM, Sightron SIII 6-24X50 LRMD/CM)

Also, Larger Objective Diameter Lets in more light, and with a larger magnification the larger the Objective diameter should be, correct?

I'm using this lens for TARGET SHOOTING from 100-500 yards, the reason i chose this range is that i don't think the savage axis being a entry based rifle, having a short 22 inch barrel will let me shoot a 223 accurately in groups at distances in excess of 500 yards.

Final Thing, Ive narrowed it to these following lenses (which you can find on the poll), this is for a 223, after i get to the level i feel comfortable at, i will be buying a 308 and its own scope.

Not sure what it means exactly, but the CM models have .1 MIL clicks and the others have .25 MOA adjustments. The CM probably stands for centimeter.

Yes, a larger objective lens lets in more light. How bright the image will appear to be is also affected by the quality of the glass and the effectiveness of the lens coatings (all the way through, not just on the objective lens.)

Divide the objective lens size by the magnification and the figure you get is the exit pupil. With equal glass quality and coatings, the larger the exit pupil the brighter the image, but better glass and coatings might equip a scope to give a brighter image than one with a bigger objective lens and not so good glass and coatings. This gets relevant as you get older because your eye can only use so much. At maximum dilation of your pupil for dark adaptation, the normal size for a young adult will be not larger than 7mm, and by the time of your 40s, probably not much more than 4mm. So at some point a bigger objective lens is wasted because you can't use its full exit pupil, and you'd be better off spending money on a better quality of scope at your maximum usable lens size.

i did some more research based off of what the big ugly man said.

And i eliminated some of my options.
I didnt realize that:

Sightron SIII 6-24X50 LRMD/CM
Sightron SIII 8-32 X 56 LRMD/CM
Sightron SIII 10-50 X 60 LRMD/CM

Were all MRAD vs MOA, i want MOA.
So that being said, my list is down to:

Sightron SIII LR 6-24 X 50 Mildot
Sightron SIII LR 8-32 X 56 Mildot
Sightron SIII LR 10-50X60 Mildot
and i also added one more,
Sightron SII Big SKY 6.5-20 X 50 Mildot
But after further research i eliminated it.

With those new options, i figured my best bet would be the Scope in the middle (Sightron SIII LR 8-32 X 56 Mildot).
 
Hey Guys, just wanted to give you all an update, I've been harassing Jerry via PM's these last few days with questions, and we spoke over the phone today.
He said the same thing
32x is a lot of magnification for 500 yard shooting. I'd probably go with the 6-24x50, and with the MOA reticle, if you can find it.
Said, so that's what I'm going with.
I gave him my card info and address, and Now, its all up to purolator or xpresspost to man up. I need this for the weekend, i have the second ORA course coming up, talk about last minute on my part :p:p
