Plinker777, O.K. I can see your point, but my point is that , being a collector, dealer, gunsmith ( partime, now) I have found that they will try to be fair to deal with ,
if you give them all the facts.
I would say that 30-40% of my business was/ is 12-6,12-5,12-2 and have straightened out many problems, usally a failure to communicate properly,
or letting PAL expire and then get their back up.
In all the years since the B.S. of C68 started, I know of very few guns that are not resold, or new licence issued.
The couple that where are 12-2 with no paper and the owner started a fight with the government, They have way more money than we do.
Also, I find that if you are dealing with RCMP or the people at CFO and the info is something that is not right, don't argue with them.
Say you will call later and talk to you CFO or call back and get someone else. Seems to work for me.
I have found that many of the younger RCMP member don't have a clue what the firearm laws are in this country.
Many of the older one I know are better, but that could be because where I am a lot of the older fellows are "gun guys also"
Big cities are different I would think.
The worst one I run into was newbe from Toronto, They must have been hard up at that time..
Being a old fart , I don't worry much about what may or maynot happen, Wife does that for me.
I think that is enough of a rant for tonight.
