Need Info On Lee cast Bullet Sizing Tool Please

Lee one works good, but bullets have to be tumble lubed first.
Do they have to be lubed first? I would have though you would lube them after they were sized. I want to try one as I have gone to the tumble lubing and have had real good results with it.

I have used both,
I have a Lee push thru in .285 (came with a rifle I bought), I also have a RCBS lubrimatic with interchangable sizing dies,
Lee system never gets used anymore, Like I said earlier they work but there is far better systems avalible.
Lube sizers put the lube where the lube belongs (In the grooves) not all over the nose or base.

If you tumble or pan lube the Lee works great.
The luber-sizers are less messy but a lot more money in start-up. Depends on how many calibres you want to do and how many rounds you are going to go through. If its one or 2 sizes of only a few hundred rounds per year I would stick with the Lee.

I have. I've been crimping gas checks on the Lee sizer and pan-lubing after. Works very well. It also works well crimping gas checks on plain-base bullets.
Flat nose bullets can be sized nose-first or base-first.
Tumble lube bullets though, are meant to be loaded unsized.
If I could only cast some more...
I don't know anything about the Lyman tool, but I do have the Lee which works nicely.
Personally I panlube the boolits (in my own mix of beexwax/vaseline etc) and let them dry overnight. Then I'll simply seat the gascheck and resize in one stroke of the ram.
Easy and efficient. BUT.. its a bit messy.

I know how to seat gas checks by hand, have done lots of them.
I know how to size with a Lee sizer. Been there, done that.

I know how to lube bullets in a pan, then cut them out with a cookie cutter. The messiest action in reloading I have ever done.
But, like I said the first time. Those people who think the above operations work well and are a good way of doing things, have most likely never used a good lubricator-sizer.

When I started this post I was trying to find out if this tool works ok. I know the Lubersizers work great. I have two Lyman and three RCBS units. The problem I have is this. I shoot so much pistol that when I cast bullets with my Magna master Caster unit I do at least a 1000 to 2000 bullets of each caliber at a time. The problem occurs when I lube them. If I use one of my Lubersizers I want to start and finish that caliber all in one day. I have no way to store that many bullets other then in boxes and if you do that the lube comes off them and they just become a big mess. I cannot justify the cost of a Star Lubersizer that puts the lube on the bullets like the commerical guys use so I turned to tumble lubeing. I size the bullets through one of my lubersizers without putting any lube in the groves of the bullet and then tumbler lube them and then let them dry for a day. Then I can throw them in a box and no mess and I have found a formula off of the site CastBoolits that works very well. This is my problem.

I use lube that requires a small amount of heat and when the bullets cool off they stay in the grooves and there is no mess at all.
Sounds like you are in need of a better stick lube, I use "Jakes Red" presently and it works great for pistol and rifle.
Lee push thru won't speed you up much and you'll still have to deal with tumble lubes.

I use three different Lee sizer,two for rifles and one for pistol they all work great and are a much cheaper option. I tumble lube and pan lube both the tradition grease groove bullets and tumble lube bullets and also apply gas check with all three sizers. I even tumble lube the non tumble bullets and they work fine.
I always tumble or pan lube my bullets first,then size and apply the gas check the TL bullet get another coat of my Alox/JPW mix before loading the pan lube bullets are ready to go as is.

Simple answer, YES. I have four of them for my pistol calibers. Tumble lube lightly, resize, retumble lightly again.

I have a lee that I use for tumble lube, pan lubed, plain base, and gas checked cast bullets, and also to resize JACKETED bullets from .430, to .427. (just use a bit of case lube)
No it's not anywhere close to as nice as a full out lubri-sizer, but it does work, and works well, if you don't mind a bit of clean up time.

I have used Lee sizers for quite some time. Rifle bullets that I intend to size are first given a bit of a tumble lube with ordinary Lee stuff, the stuff that looks like molasses. I then set the bullet in the gas check, if it is to be gas checked and resize. If they are just the little 93 grainers to fired out of my 30-30's, then I just tumble lube them again, but I don't always size them anyway.
If they are bigger bullets with a gas check or not, I put on lube with my fingers, either the blue LBT (or something like that - I am 1000k from home, so a little vague on the names), or the Lee stuff that comes in a stick.
I know, I know. It is blasphemy to speak of such methods. H4831 will likely blow a gasket over this!!

It will depend on the volume of bullets you need, practically speaking. Having said that, I have little to say about being practical. I knew somebody once who was practical. Maybe I should have paid more attention......
