my buddy just picked up today and old winchester 1894 its a 30/30 did they make a carbine its short looking to me has a sadle ring on it shape wise looks to be in good cond for its age any one know where i can find out more about this firearm and what there worth

Winchester made the '94 in many factory and custom orientations. Carbine was one of them.
If you have the serial # we can date it for you.
There have been cases where old Winchesters (Lettered by the Cody Museum) have brought big dollars. But don't bet the farm on it.
