Anyone know the specs on Sellier & Bellot 9mm 124gr load? Is it loaded to NATO specs (since it’s made in Europe) or is it the same as Winchester/Remington watered down load?

anyone know what the velocity is?

I had a bunch of this stuff, thank god its all gone!

Its difficult to re-load. The primer pockets are inconsistent size wize and the bullets are a brass like alloy that produces lots of muzzle sparks.

Recoil is moderate, equivalent to Winchester White box or Remington UMC. I never had it on a crony but I would say its around the ~1050fps mark

Overall rating C+
I got it for real cheap.

I would never buy it again. I would pay $4 more win/RP.

my 2cents.

are you loking at buying some?

They are availabe at my local store... I realod, but always like to try new ammo :)

btw I did some research and found this site www.sb-usa.com it says the velocity of the 124gr FMJ load is 1180fps out of 6in barrel. Win. 124gr is 1140fps (but probably out of 4in barrel)

I "tried" to use a couple of boxes in my G17 a few years ago. I had nothing but problems. At least every fifth round jammed. Don't know if I had a bad batch or if it is all like that, but I have not used it since in any of my guns.

^ where did you get that info? did you chrony it? (if so what gun?)
Ref: Ammo & Ballistics II 2nd Edition. If you want 'hot' ammo, find some NATO rounds or Cor-Bon. The Cor-Bon 115 gr JHP moves along at 1350 FPS. See additional information in my post above.
