hi their

i just recieved my new .375 h&h from a fellow gun nut! i would like some practice target loads. he also gave me some gas check 335 grain bullets( not 100% sure what they are but the bullet looks alot like the one in my lyman 48th) ive got some h414 but i am also thinking of getting a different powder. any suggestions?

p.s.
i like to buy powder that will work in my .270 , 300 wsm as well as the .375 but it doesnt matter.

also another question

when looking at a load in a book what load recoils more? heavy bullet and slow velocitie vs light bullet and high velocity?

im still new at this :)

thanx

I agree with Frank, IMR 4350 was great in mine for top speeds and accuracy......oh yes, and recoil!:p
I never tried any down loaded (reduced loads) tests.
Having said that, I switched from the 4350 to H414 after I sold the 375. Looking back I would have loved to try that powder.:)

The 270gr wasn't as bad as the 300gr as far as how big the shove was, but is snapped faster so there really isn't that big a difference. For me no matter the load I used I had to book a Chiro appointment for the next week. No I'm not kidding. Got to love chronic neck trouble.

Starting loads in my Win 70 were pretty tame really, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.
