So after mounting and remounting a half-dozen scopes on my BTVS (hey, I was experimenting) I find that the stainless steel Burris SigZee rings have cut into the soft aluminum factory bases......none of the scopes will zero now.

Where can I find stainless steel replacement weaver bases for the BTVS? What size are they, number 12 seems to ring a bell.

Compounding the problem, the soft aluminum hex screws on the rear base are buggered....any ideas on how to get them out?

when you are experiementing with different scopes, dont use those damn rings, and to remove the hex screws, use an extractor kit. those kits work like a hot damn.

as for the replacement weaver rail. try the EE
