I am looking for a rim rifle for CRPS production competitions. Something that I could possibly expend on, build it out to compete in open class, future plans. So far Savage B22 FV or FVSS caught my eye, seems price as per rules in production must be $500 or less. Or another rifle and kindly asking why? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Starting with a production rifle and then upgrading into open can be tricky. You'll want to pick something with the widest aftermarket support to give you lots of options for upgrades. The B22 is new-ish, and I don't know of anyone making stuff for it. The older Mk2 has more options for triggers and stocks, for example.

Alpheus, I do have a Savage Mark 2 BTVS but with CRPS will put me right into open class with it. Is is excluded in production class. Me getting another rifle was so my daughter can join me. She told me that she would like to do it so both of us could enjoy it. If could recommend rifle for open class which one would be. I am open for anything. Thanx again.
