Ok, I don't have any guns that are scoped, so im kinda new to this whole optics thing. Infact I only own 1 gun that is capable of being scoped (w/out being D&T'd) and it is my Toz-78. Im not looking to spend a great deal of money on a scope for a $100.00 gun but I have narrowed it down to a few and some input from more knowledgable people than me would help.

Ive got a set of extra high see-through rings on their way to me so that way I can keep the back sight on the gun and still use the irons. Anyhow, here are the scopes I was looking at;

The bushnell 3-9x42 rimfire, runs about $50 (http://www.bushnell.com/products/riflescopes/specs/76-2239.cfm)

The bushnell banner 4-12x40 w/ AO, runs about $130 but I have heard good things from people who have this scope on their Toz-78.

I do about 60% of my rimfire shooting at 50yards, the rest at 100, so im still kinda 'iffy' about the rimfire scope.

Thanks in advance :)

I have that 3-9 on my savage mark 2. Its a fun gun to just blow off rounds and accurately. The reticle I have been finding is a tid bit fat. When compared to my fine duplex of course. I shoot at 200 yards with it and peg off broken clays no problem. Some people compain about the rings, and they did fall off once! You gotta tighten them down to a few foot pounds beause of the integral design of those little built in weaver attachments.

Banner. More than enough scope for a .22. Not the greatest clairity in the world, but the 4-12 is good enough to spot your holes at 100 yards - how much further do you need to be able to see, anyway?

Windage and elevation knobs are responsive, and stay where they're put.

What more do you need :)

Here's one on my 22. Ain't she purdy?
