Need Quick Answer re: Rings

Rem 700 heavy barrel. 56mm scope. Weaver Tactical rings. Do I need mid or high?

I can get the rings local (I'm out of town on an overnight trip), scope supplier doesn't have. Thanks.

high I think depends on whether you have a cheekpiece or not on the stock but I would go high jefferson

Take it to a gun shop and have them fit it for u would be the easiest way instead of guessing

Id say take it to a gun shop, if you can. It will save you some hassle. I was in the same spot once, but no gun shop within 600km. I guessed wrong and had to order a canted rail that was taller on the end than the flat one I had.

remember being comfortable is more important then have the scope close to the bore!
