Indoor range I go to is rated for up to 50BMG but the owner only wants reduced load to be used. I would like to use the range to get the rifle on paper.

Any recommendations on a light load that will serve the purpose for the 300 win mag.

Thanks in advance

I have a few powders on hand that may work

IMR 4831
IMR 4064
IMR 4350

Lots of reduced loads in Ken Waters Pet Loads and Speer #10 but for more suitable powders IMR 4198,IMR 4320 +IMR 3031.These may get you on paper but when tweaking a full power load for hunting may not be anywhere close. As you may or may not know ,if the gun is a BA set up a target at 25 yards remove the bolt and sand bag it. Look through the bore centering the bullseye .Without moving the gun now adjust the scope to be on the target as well.

180 Grain bullet [I like the Hornady for reduced loads, but others will work]
50 grains of IMR 3031, CCI 200. Very accurate in several 300 Win Mags
Gives 300 Savage velocities. Dave.

there is a powder that you can use a reduced load. Was it h4895 said so on that manufacture website and the info is still current. down to 60% I think. Check out Hodgdon website and then you will know
