I had a partial box of these bullets given to me...dunno how old they are but my 7x57 sure does seem to like them.......I don't know if you can still buy them,or what they would be comaprable to today, can't get any info around this town, which is no surprise  ....any help and info would be greatly appreciated...

All I know is they are Remington softpoints in 175gr...they have small dish in the base.....would like more info on them,or better yet,buy a bunch of them

your stock numbers right there- b22918- should be a simple job from there- the only listing i have from remington for 175 /7mm is b2850b which is a 175 grain pspcl- thats in bulk-

got to correct that-i'd be willing to bet that 22918 is the boxed version - wholesale sports in calgary has it in their cataloge as 22819 which is a 175 grain psp for 20.99 per hundred/ stock number 107450- page 131 of the old wsl catalogue

Yeppers...exactly what i found as well......I sent an e-mail to Remington..curious to see what they have to say....thanks t-star

While I might be talking out my hat here, that box looks really old. Don't remington components come in bags these days?

That's why I figured I would ask here....figured one of the long time reloaders would hopefully know...got a pretty good idea now on what they are... :D

I used to buy Remington bullets in that style of box in the 70's, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's when your bullets were manufactured. I agree with what's been said, your bullet appears to be a standard Remington PSPCL which can be bought bulk. Nice shooting by the way.

The problem is, Remington has re-designed their Cor-Lokt bullet since that one was manufactured. I have some old .308/150's in the same boxes. They are decent bullets, however the bullets in one box I have are a bit oversize [.3092] This is not a real problem if you are aware of it and develop loads accordingly. These bullets all have the same type of base as your .284/175's show. If you section these older Cor-Lokts and also one of the new production, you will see that the older bullets have a thicker jacket in the midsection, which IMO, holds the core in better. The new production bullets also have an absolutely flat base. This means that they may not shoot the same as your old lot does. [or They may be just fine] you will have to try them to find out. For the most part, I have found the Remington Bulk Bullets to work fine for many applications, but a premium bullet they are not! Your 7x57 will never tax a 175 grain bullet anyway, so if it shoots them well, you can expect great performance from those Cor-Lokts. Regards, Eagleye.
