Ok I sent my fixed 36x in for repair. They backordered me one with no definite timeline for when they will get it in. I asked if I could buy the big sky 36 x and pay the difference. I explained to the service guy that I am using the scope for f-class. He advise me to not buy the big sky 36 x, that I should pick the 8-32x56. It had more elevation adjustment.

What do I know, so I ordered his suggestion.

Now I am thinking that I made the wrong decision. the big sky 36x has 1/8
moa adjustment vs the 8-32x56 1/4

Is this a big deal

It may be already too late to change my order. What info I can get tonight would be appreciated.

You made the right decision... 1/4 min. will be fine. Go to bed and have sweet dreams of your new scope.

I just bought the 8-32x56mm, its my first SIII and my 3rd Sightron.

I have not yet been able to mount it but I look it out to ~800m and I love it.

The 1/4" clicks are way tighter than the 1/8" clicks on the SII BigSky 4-16x42mm I had, allthough I think the SII was not the best example. Eitherway, I am pretty happy with the much nicer 1/4" clicks.

If you plan on using the FCH crosshair and holding corrections instead of dialing, Im sure that you will be satisfied.

JBD, who are you dealing with? Sightron USA directly?

Regards,

Peter

Yes I asked if I could send it to you and they told me that you were not setup to fix the scopes, and that you would send it to them, so they told me to ship directly to them.

While I am a bit disappointed that my 36 x BRD had this problem, you really can not kick about the warranty. Have a problem send it back. Even Leupold is not that good for canadians anymore. You can only get service from korth if you can prove that you purchased it from an authorized dealer. So looks like you are SOL if you bought a leupold off the exchange and have a problem.

JBD, just making sure that you are getting looked after and NormB., one of Canada's best(shooters, not people) offers good advice.

Regards,

Peter
