Were do I get these from in Canada and how much would they cost?

Ya they only have info on the 223 chambered configuration I was looking for the 7.62 x 39mm chambered configuration. Any body?

Your phone doesn't work?

If I was interested in a odd variant that a company produces I'd probably call the company that imports them and see what they say, not illicit internet conjecture.

Sabres start at $2000 and go up from there.

WoW!
Thanx for the hot tips! I would have never thought about calling / e-mailing importers? Is that a new idea...
:kickInTheNuts:
:slap:
As for a m14 I already have one and also have a cz 858 but what I don't have is a "black rifle".
What was that you say???
"BLACK RIFLE"
Now back to the real world since you wankers are no help is. I have contacted a Robson Arms and there 7.62 x 39mm version is not allowed for export. I have contacted Wolverine and they only carry the 223 version in both Armilite and also Sabre and are not planing on bring in the 7.62 x 39mm version. Also I thought that since Sabre Defense is out of England that it should be much easier to get this rifle in the cal that I want. Although judging from the great responses that have been posted on this thread I am better off...
:jerkit:
Than getting any help from my fellow CGNer's.
*Now that's really sad state of affairs*

Why are you getting all pissy because no one is able to answer your question? Perhapsthe fact that none exist in Canada means that no one has any experience with them. Maybe you should have taken clue from the fact that the importer responsible for Sabre in Canada doesn't carry them.

If Wolverine is the importer and they tell you that they won't be bringing any in, than why are you asking us? You already got your answer straight from the horses mouth.

I find the answer you got a little odd though. Do believe that Wolverine stated that Sabre will build to suit and to contact them with your requirements.

Oh, and 7.62x39 is a crappy caliber, especially for an AR. :nest:

I bought a Sabre M5 from Wolverine in the summer and love it. The fit and finish is spectacular. They start at $1995 but are worth every penny. They are spectacularly accurate at the range as well. I've only put about hundred rounds through it so far, and all groups have been sub MOA with match ammo. I love the fact that the Sabres are a 1 in 7" twist for the heavy bullets. Anyone contemplating buying one should do it, they are one of the best AR's on the market.

Hey thank you vondnik, gushulak and koalorka. That was the type of insight I was looking for.

1) vondnik CRAFM has the 7.62 x 39mm in stock or is it the 223 calibere?

2) So gushulak how would you rate overall 1 to 10 (10 being the best) for fit and finish and accuracy on this rifle?

3) koalorka I am a boob when it comes to the AR platform and was wondering what you ment by a "commercial buffer tube size"?

From the Sabre Defence thread in Wolverine's forum http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=196040

Right now if you want answers to any questions e-mail me direct please. I will post details when I have them, but first I want to confirm them. No where will you find exact details of the Sabre Defence models we are importing as they are manufactured for us to meet our requirements. This means that if you all want something different, we may be able to help you.

This will make the hardcore people happy

You truly can not believe the product and its quality until your holding it. the wait was well worth it. (...)

As another recent Woverine Sabre Defence customer (14.5") I must concure (...)

The Sabre XR-15's are truely outstanding firearms, tight fit, no rattles. Very solid and secure. Just picking one up you can feel the difference. All parts are solid and well built and the specs on the guns have everything I was looking for, 5.56mm chamber, 1:7 twist, 14.5 barrel, flash suppressor, collapsible stock. (...)

No definate delivery dates yet, we are trying to keep shipments large to save on shipping costs and keep getting delays. When we have news we will anounce it.

We are working on complete 9mm carbines and 9 mm uppers and hope to have them with the next shipment. I will be talking to Sabre next week and hope to have news then. No pictures but we want 10.5 inch flat top 9 mm.

And then there is this thread, which is also at the top of the wolverine dealer forum: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279477

SABRE DEFENCE:
One 20 inch rifle and a few 16 inch carbines in stock for $1,995.00, these carbines have all the “evil” features. Due to difficulties with chroming barrels future shipments have been delayed, because of this we have secured a small quantity of XR15M4 Commando’s. These have a matt stainless HBAR 1:8 twist, there will be a premium charged for the stainless barrel, I need to confirm but I think these have 11.5 inch barrels expected delivery should be Nov. We will also have some 20 inch rifles with black stainless barrels some light and some heavy profile. Also expected in Nov will be some complete 9 mm carbines and 9 mm Top Half’s watch for details. Good inventory of Sabre Defence 5/30 rd mags at $37.50 each, yes not cheap but these are now the best pinned mags we have ever seen.(...)

How long is the delay for the regular stuff

Sorry, don't know, this is out of our control.

If the answers you want aren't somewhere in that, you will probably have to phone them or pm john.

I've got a 16" midlength 5.56 on order and I'm told to expect 3-4months. (Which is fine by me for a rifle on that level of QC).

You're welcome.
