Fellas, when i punch the measurements in of this bullet on an online B.C. calculator, it comes up with a B.C. of .303
Its a .458 405 grain flat nose hard cast. Is a B.C. of .303 possible for this slug??

Id say yes too, hard to say though, BC's can be deceiving

is that a homemade cast or store bought? looks great

that's great

have you shot them into anything yet to see how they hold up??

...............nope not yet Tod. I killed a moose with the .38-55 version and it worked well. Its very hard at 25bhn. Their is a possibility of it maybe shattering but the .38-55 went right through with no bullet recovery.

I would not even worry about that sort of stuff, that bullet is a modest range pill with a heck of a punch, would not want to get in its way:D
Nice job. What velocity you plan on running, 1600 fps is gonna hurt bad on both ends, 1400 would be more pleasent.
Great heavy game bullet, or any game for that matter.

........i have been pushing them at 1600 fps. I went up to 1800 fps which was an earth shaking molar loosening "where's my mommy ?" kinda experience!!:D The 1800 fps leaded the barrell too much for my liking.
