hey there
i have a sako 75 sm deluxe in 300wsm wood stock. this gun came right from a gun shop. what is this thing even worth as it is BNIB?
Sadly, under the bolt it looks like is has the number "417" very small electro penciled on very small. there is no marks whatsoever on the stock and blueing is mint. bolt looks like it has been cycled a bit. it may just need a good clean and lubricating.

let me know what you think its worth as I may list it and would like to price it fair as per its condition. i havnt been able to find much in terms of research.

As mentioned the 417 is most likely the last digits of the serial number. Does it have the bolt lock on the back of the bolt shroud? And does it actually have "SM" marked on the side of the action?

The electro penciling as you describe is normal. New from factory, it should match the last digits of the serial number, as others have described.

yes the SM is on the action aswell as the tag on the box. as for the bolt lock i am not sure. nice to know it comes that way i was horrified thinking someone did that. its a very nice rifle but in that caliber i have no use for it.
so in the condition its in between 1200-1500? less?
ill take some photos and list it this wknd to see if there is some interest in it i suppose.
thanks folks.
