I just picked these two Smith & Wessons up. I am not sure what model they are or what the approximate value is. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

The first one is a Smith & Wesson .22

The next one is a Smith & Wesson .38 Special

Need to know the numbers inside the crane where you open the cylinder. Then we can tell you the model and approximate year of manufacture along with approx value. For instance the .22 might say (model) 17-2 and then a series of (serial) numbers. Both are definitely older and the .22 has some wear. Hard to tell from those pics.

S&w Revolvers

Looks to me like the .22 is a model 17-3, K-22. and the .38 is a model 14-3, K-38. They are a matched pair of target revolvers. The .38 will have a wider rib to make it the same weight as the .22. they both have the patridge front sight. They usually came with the smaller grips, and most guys put the larger or (magnum grips) on both like the ones on the .38.
they are quite common and should be worth $300-$400 each.
