Hi anyone here knows any website for the suggestion of the caliber to shoot the games like...3006 is good for deer and bear and .308 is good for somethings.....ect,any helps would be appreciated thanks a lot!!!

There are two books which might be of interest to you -

"The Perfect Shot for African Game" by Kevin Robertson
"The Perfect Shot for North American Game" by Craig Boddington

Aside from where to shoot game, these books offer cartridge and bullet recommendations for a broad range of game. You can find these titles at Safari Press - just google safari press., then use their search menu.

204,.223, 22-250, 220 Swift good for varmints up to coyotes

.243, 6mm, 25/06 good for large varmints, small deer

.270, 7mm, ,308, 30-06 big deer, moose, elk

.300 mag, 338 mag big bear, moose, elk

There alot of different cartridges offered and is debated on a regular basis at which is best matched for a certain game.
Another good book is "Cartridges of the World" it may give you an idea of what you need.

LMAO @ Scott r.243,6mm,257R,and 25-06 are plenty for any sized deer.

308/30-06 are all you will ever need for deer, bear, and even moose.

Unless you are trying to launder money, I recommend you start with one rifle in 30-06 for everything, and you don't have to be switching bullet weights. I recommend 180 grains of whatever your rifle likes. I'd stay away from most of the boattail bullets which tend to look good on paper but go to pieces when they hit a bone. If you are reloading or have a friend who is, you might want to pick up some 110 grain hornady bullets and load them with 15 grains of H110. They go bang but have no recoil so you can practise to your hearts content, in all sorts of positions and get comfortable with the rifle. When hunting season rolls back around, sight it in for the 180 grain whatevers and you're good to go. After you have sighted in your rifle for your hunting loads, try the light practice loads at 15 yards and see if you have something you could use for grouse... Play safe and have fun out there.

Give the .270 wsm a try ;) super flat shooter, hard hitter, short action

Are you a gun nut ???????

You have an 06 which would more than meet all of your hunting needs but are you willing to really become a nut.

1) Foresake the cash needed to buy your wife that hardwood for the bedroom
to buy more guns.
2) Increase the credit limit on all your cards to buy Leupy scopes.
3) convert the kids bedroom to a reloading room
4) Buy, trick it out, shoot, sell repeat ,repeat, repeat ..............
5) Does you blood pressure skyrocket when someone uses the word Liberal in
a sentence that doesn't have the work F***Kn in it

I think we need to form a support group Gun nutz who have gone nuts :runaway:
