Hey guys,
Long time shooter, owned many pump shotguns in my time but this baby is my first autoloader.
I traded an AR to a great member on here for this 930spx tactical model and have since had some issues with her. It ran like a swiss watch when I first took delivery of it and since then she has a few gremlins. I have cleaned it a couple times despite reading various threads about not doing so as if it is running well, leave well enough alone. But I HAD to clean it as it bothers me to have dirty firearms in my safe. Since cleaning it has developed a major case of Failure to feed and stovepiping spent shells in the ejection port. I am not even sure I cleaned it properly and I think maybe some of the add ons could be detrimental to its operation. It has a +2 magazine extension on it and also a 6rd side saddle thet bolts through the receiver. I'm wondering if maybe the bolts could be too tight and squeezing and squishing the receiver therefore hindering the bolt/carrier? Should these be secured just snug and then locktited? Also could my magazine spring be the culprit in my failure to feed? Sorry if these are dumb questions but I'm at a loss and not at all experiences with shotguns. The ammunition I have all fired through it are: cheap #8 walmart winchester trap loads, winchester HV 3" #2 shot, and LOTS of federal and winchester 2 3/4" 00 buck in attempts to "break it in".
Any input from you members would be greatly appreciated, and even some info on a good "smith" to maybe send it to would also help.
