Just bought a Savage 10fcp HS precision. I'm very new to long range shooting and know nothing about scopes or how to set them up. Im looking to shoot 100-600 yards and I have a budget of $600-$800. Any recommendations on scope brands and models I should be looking at?? And I also want to educate myself on scopes, long range shooting and technique. Any good forums or article I could read up on??

I used the Bushnell fixed 10X out to 800 yards on my Savage VLP no problem. If your budget is 600-88, I would contact Jerry at Mystic Precision (sponsor on this site) and look into a Sightron. I have 2 SI II 6-24 X 40 scopes and love them. Around 700 and change delivered.
