My son recently came into possession of an Enfield #1 mark 3 and when I noticed the serial # I begin to wonder about this rifle.
The serial # ---- N27xx
There are other marks on this rifle but they are almost impossible to read. I realize this is scant info but if anyone can tell us anything about this rifle it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave
Edit to add
On the wrist of the rifle ---- a Crown--- under that letters -GF-- under that --- 1942 ----
I assume this rifle would have been manufactured in 1942 --anyone tell me anything else about it --pic would be useless as the marks are very faint and all that this rifle consists of is a barrel (cut off behing front sight) and an action and bolt.
