I load and shoot this combo for my Ruger 308win and have had good success.
45.8g of IMR 4320
Bullets I'm using are the Hornady 150 Interlock Soft Point.
Book value of 2700 fps.
My daughter is shooting her grad present.....Stevens 200 in 308win.
Mentioned recoil and I put on a limbsaver.
I am contemplating a Boyd's stock for her to help put a bit of weight on this
new rifle.
They said hopefully sometime in October they wish to have a wood available for this model.
Other thought I have is a 6.5X55 from TEC.
She enjoys shooting this 13 + pound mauser 98 in 6.5X55 we own.
Great shooter from a bench, but well bush value is not so great.
Other option we have is reduced loads.
What amount of the powder I'm using would give us a good shootable load with lessen recoil?
Not into buying a different grade or brand of powder.
Only two powders on my bench, the one stated and the brother IMR 4350.
This year it'll be used for deer only.
Thanks for any experienced advice.

You can't go too low on the powders listed, you could go as low as 44 gr for the 4320 or 48 grains for the 4350 which would reduce the recoil a bit. You could also add some lead shot in the butt (a small baggie full wedged in with foam might work) to increase the weight as well. It sounds like you don't want to buy other components but you can buy low recoil loads in 308 from Remington that might fit the bill.

Thanks hunter5425 for the info.
Anyone shoot the Remington Reduced 308win ammo on deer?
Do they offer any larger bullet wieght other than the 125gr?

Reducing recoil to a more manageable level requires a drop in bullet weight as well as a smaller powder charge. Switch to H-4895 and you can reduce the load significantly. When I loaded .30/06 ammo for my grandson and my nephew I loaded 130 gr bullets to 2600 fps. In a 6 lb rifle the recoil was mild, my grandson claimed a full powered load in the .243 kicked more, but such things are a matter of perception. A similar load in the .308 would be about 38.0 grs of H-4895.

Checking the Nosler book, 47.0 grains of IMR4320 in the monst accurate load showing 2842 fps.
by switching to IMR4064, the most accurate load was 44.0 grains, and with IMR4895, 40.5 grains. The 4895 loading reduces velocity considerably to 2544 which will also yield considerable energy. This would still be an effective deer load.
