I'm having some trouble with my NP22 and hoping someone here can help. I've got about 6500-7000 rounds through the gun and until recently, had no issues. Last week, I noticed my slide catch was engaging while I was firing, usually once or twice per mag. I'd thumb the release, continue to shoot and have to repeat before the mag was empty. When I got home and started to clean it, I noticed the take down lever seemed to have a lot less tension on it's rotation and can completely slide out to the left (i.e. there's nothing holding it in).
Following a good cleaning, I took the gun to the range on Sun and once again, the slide catch is engaging, only now more frequently. I've also noticed the take down lever is working it's way to the left while I'm firing. The gun is now in the locker and won't be back to the range until I get these issues sorted out.
Anyone have any advice? I'd prefer to tackle this myself, particularly for the learning opportunity but won't shy away from professional assistance, though I'm not sure who in the Halfiax area will work on a Norc. Thoughts? Thanks.
