Hello all,
I have finally bought all I need to personally mod my SKS. I have a shell deflector, a green laser, scope rings, compact 3-9X42 Scope and rear reciever cover tri-base mount. I am hoping to get it all togther (A little dissapointed with NcStar's "You must file down in order to fit SKS" concept for needing a file to make it fit. Good thing I have some at my shop class)
I have installed the shell deflector (a slip-over sights sort of deal) and will be filing down the points on the bolt cover tri-mount.
So, my question is, how do I get my hands on the last missing piece: an SKS recoil buffer pad. I will need one according to the gent I bought the parts for this kit from, but he does not sell them. I would prefer to keep my buisness north of the border so if anyone knows a place in Canada, or has a recoil buffer to sell, please PM me or post here!
Also, tips on how to install the scope properly? And ideas? I heard someone mentioned tightening the bolt cover screws with a piece of paper under the screws, between the screw and bolt cover "wall" under the cover. Also, it has been mentioned to me "locktite". What is this?
Help appreciated!
