I need some pistol suggestions for my dentist. Yes, my dentist!! He recently got his RPAL and has a Ruger 22 (not sure which one), and now he wants a centerfire plinker. He's leaning towards a 9mm. Cheaper ammo as he doesn't reload. From what he's told me, he won't be doing any competition shooting, it's just for banging away at the range.

So, any suggestions??
I was thinking of Norinco's CZ series or a Tok in 9mm.
I've already pointed him in the directions of Gunnar and Marstar.
Anyone else wanna chime in here?

Send him down to Wholesale Sports here in town. They've got Sigs, Glocks, HKs, and Paras in 9mm. That way he can at least see which one feels better to the grip. They've also got some Kimber Tactical IIs in .45 at a wickedly low price (although the caliber may not suit him).

+1.
Let him go and 'fondle' a bunch before he buys...
Hopefully, as a 'tooth fairy', he has enough coin to look beyong the 'cheap and
cheerful' (Norinco, etc.) brigade!

I gotta go see again tomorrow (damn cavities  ) and I'll definately be steering him over there as well.
He seemed to balk at the higher prices he saw on the net (frugal?). We talked a bit and I got him seriously thinking of a 9, simply for the price of ammo. Now which 9 it ends up being.....only he can say for sure what he likes.

Hell, a couple more cavities and I might have him buying a 45 and into reloading :D .
