Need some XCR tutoring

In the market for an used XCR can you guys educate me a bit?

I am little confused about the differences between early model and late model triggers, barrel locking hex screw, thin vs heavy barrel and keymod etc.

What's the pro / con between them and what to look for / avoid if possible?

Any info will be very helpful and much appreciated!

I have owned the very first gens and now the key-mod version and really recommend the key-mod version. Very well balanced, not chunky, accurate. The prices of used XCR's are waay to high on the EE, buy a new Key-mod and dont look back. I see most older version XCR's selling for $2200 on the board, spend an extra $200 and get a the latest version that has warranty.
