Here it is, I have a HK P2000 V3, Love the feel and size. The only thing that I don't like is the double action only. It’s quite smooth and a quick pull if you have a good muscle memory for the trigger.

Since I am not a LEO and using it for any official duty, I rather stick to a SA/DA pistol.

I have small hand and the back strap for the P2000 make it the perfect size for my small hand. A 1911 single stack does also fit me well. However a P226 in .40 is too wide.

Anny suggestion you could recommend me, I was considering the following

FN FNP9
P99
XDM 9
or might be sticking whit a P2000 SA/DA
Basically some thing whit adjustable back strap

No glock suggestion (I shoot all over the place whit that pistol)

Everything in this thread that begins with a "P" seems like a pretty good choice.

I would not screw around with an XD at all. I don't have any experience with or knowledge of the FN series. But the P99 seemed like not a bad pistol although they did have some parts breakage issues (although I believe no worse than the M&P series) and the P2000 and P30 are both good pistols.

Just speaking for myself, I would rather have a light LEM trigger than any DA/SA. But if you've already decided that a DA/SA is what you want, and you have a shooting style that makes it work for you, some people do very well with that type of trigger. I personally find that it takes too much training to overcome the two trigger pulls, and that if I slack off I immediately lose my edge on DA/SA guns. But others may (and probably do) feel differently.

Sigs are a good bet, even the Norinco newer copies. The P30L's are great too. HK45 if you've got plenty of coin and are into .45. Beretta 92 or Taurus 92/99 in 9mm or 100/101 in .40 as well-make sure they're the AFD models that have the decocker. I'm sure someone will say CZ Shadow-no experience here but nothing but rave reviews.

Ruger SR9 is highly underrated, I shot the SR9C when I was down in the states and the trigger was awesome, backstrap is a rubber piece that flips to increase the grip size. I was looking at all kinds of 9mm's and then after shooting the SR9C I was sold on the ruger, apparently after 200rounds the trigger on the SR9 is a beauty.. Plus for the price you can't go wrong.

Last time I owned a glock I was shooting all over the target, fast forward to last year I tried a gen 4 glock 17 to see if I was doing the same thing. I discovered that glock where not for me. By doing that that I put all striker fired pistol in the same boat.

I might want to look at a striker fired pistol (I will definitely try to find some one in my area that willing to let my try is before even thinking of buying one)

The Beretta 92fs won't do. It's got a very fat grip that really only fits bigger hands well. AND a fairly long reach to the trigger for DA.

One that has been the choice of more than a couple of folks with small hands is the CZ Shadow or other 75 based CZ. It's a double stack but the way that the grips and frame step inwards to form a more tapered teardrop like back strap area seems to let those with smaller hands still fit well with the gun. Of course the reach to the trigger is another factor. Those same folks with small hands found that it seemed to work well for them. Locate one in a store and check it out. And of course the CZ's are a true DA/SA so it fits in with the style of action you're looking for.

Sooo a 1911 single stack fits you well, and you want a 9mm. No requirements for DAO....

9mm 1911? At least you know the trigger will be pleasant
STI Trojan, S&W Performance Series 9mm 1911? (I'm guessing because you have an H&K you can break the $1000 mark and prefer something that is less rough around the edges)

Then you can stop switching pistols and just play with your 1911 and its many, many, many customizations?

If you have smaller hands steer away from from the Xd-m, I have one and it sucks for people with smaller than average hands, even with the smallest backstrap. I got the SR9 for my wife and its great! Its every bit as compact as the P2000 and its about 1/3 the price

Like my Glock 17 Gen4 best, esp. after the 3.5# upgrades of Ghost Rocket 3.5 connector and 3 springs.

Rest is a toss up. Pistols are personal, you have to try them out.

I have also tried the Glock and it wasn't for me either, I do have a S&W M&P 9mm range and carry kit which I like and so far I am shooting fairly good with it and I figure that as I get it broke in and get more familiar with it I should be able to shoot it even better.

I know that it isn't a DA/SA pistol but one thing I like is that the trigger pull is always the same, most of the DA/SA pistols I have have very heavy DA triggers and great SA trigger pulls so I mainly just shoot SA and don't bother with the DA trigger pull.

I wasn't a striker fired pistol fan until I was able to try a M&P and I was surprised with the feel in my hand and the accuracy I was able to get from it the first time I tried a guys at the range, any Glocks I had tried in the past didn't feel right to me and I was not able to shoot them well. If you get a chance try one out you may like it.

Go with what ever you like the feel of and shoot well, good luck.
