Does anyone have a Krieger op-rod guide I can borrow for a bit? The brand new USGI one I have on my stick is super sloppy and I want to machine up a tighter National Match version. Obviously there will be some clearance built in for junk but man the one I have right now is way too loose.

Kinda like this one

The oprod guide you show in your pic looks like the heavy barrel version. Not compatable with the medium DMR.
The krieger mediumd come from the factory oversized at the oprod guide location and a USGI, chinese or M1A oprod guide will not just slide on. Certainly should not be a loose fit unless the installer removed too much material from the barrel when fitting the original part. On GIwolf's krieger medium, I removed .002 from oprod guide barrel location. Oprod guide still required a press fit and is an extremely solid NM fit.
You could use the dimensions from a new usgi or springfield oprod guide to make a custom part like in your pic.

Drop by and lets have a look...... ;)

I just got an op rod guide from Brownells. I had to polish a couple of thou out of it an still had to seat it with a piece of wood and a couple of light taps with a mallet. That was on a med pattern krieger.

Yes its the heavy contour guide that I'm looking for. I need one to copy the outside dimensions so I can CNC one up to work on my DMR barrel. The standard USGI oprod guide has too much play on the oprod itself not the barrel thats installed on my stick. Trying to take out all the slop of the system to make it more repeatable = more accuracy

Or how about this does anyone in the LowerMainland have a heavy barreled M14 that I can come out and take a look at to take some measurements?

I've got the blueprints/drawings for the oprod guide. If you need any dimensions or a drawing (not a printed PDF) sent down, shoot me an email.
