I need to know the Rockwell C hardness of steel birdshot!

typically ~10HRC, which is a meaningless measure. HR is only meaningful hardness test if you get a reading between 25 and 70 - otherwise it's basically non-repeatable.

Steel birdshot is regulated to be <100HV which is around ~55HRB.
