During my career as an Ammunition Technician in the CF, at one time during our Sgt's course, we toured IVI facilities as part of the course. Year after year, course after course always had extremely critical comments regarding safety of the workers and the quality of the munitions produced. This was all constructive critisism. Eventually rather than upgrade operations we were suspended from touring the place. Yes the ammunition went "bang" and to the average combat arms types that was fine. Did you ever wonder why snipers were issued ammo that was manufactured by Lake City??
