Hi guys, does any of you know how to do it ?

some people say to turn the extractor rod counter clockwise but the rod on my gun turns freely, I cannot do anything with it !

please help

thanks

The threads on the extractor rod are reverse threads, so turn clockwise to unthread it.

What I do is wrap a cleaning patch around the rod and grip it with a pair of pliers, then while holding the cylinder turn the pliers and rod clockwise, it shouldn't take very much effort. I also recommend removing the cylinder and crane from the frame first, it makes it easier to handle.

Well that's strange. Two things come to mind 1) There is a lot of crud and carbon around the rod and it's just getting hung up, so try pulling on the rod with a patch and pliers 2) And I hope it's not this, but the threads may be stripped, if that's the case you'd have to contact Taurus.

Okay, I took a pic of my RB, when you try and unthread the ejector rod from the ejector, you said it just spins, but is it just the rod that is spinning or is the ejector (part on right in pic) also spinning in the cylinder??

@09outlander - That's nice of you to take time to take the gun apart and add some pics.

I thank you on behalf of the OP :)
