Hello... I am a noob, I will be taking my PAL and RPAL course next week. Sorry if the answer to this question is elsewhere in the forums, but I did a search of the forums and couldn't find anything...
The RCMP instructions for storing a firearm state:
"For an automatic firearm, also remove the bolt or bolt carrier (if removable) and lock it in a separate room that is hard to break into."
Now, when they say "automatic firearm", are they talking about any semi-automatic firearm, or only fully-auto firearms? If I purchase a gun safe to store an unrestricted semi-auto rifle for example, would I need to purchase a separate locked container to store the bolt? Normally I would think that an "automatic firearm" only refers to a fully-auto firearm, but since a fully-auto firearm is prohibited why would they bother to even mention it?
I am planning to order a safe right now, because there is a delay for delivery/installation... I am hoping to only have to purchase one single gun safe that I can use to store everything. Sorry if it is a stupid question, but I rather ask a stupid question than make a stupid mistake.
