need to replace recoil pad on lee enfield montecarlo stock.

since I got my enfield the recoil pad has been falling apart. well I picked her up today and the but pad stuck and stayed on the floor of the storage. I scraped
the rest of the pad off. It was almost like tar. Any way i need a new one fast. any suggestions? I was thinking of getting a grind to fit or something. but I'd prefer something I just slap on and screw in place.

Your not going to find a pre fit pad since there are numerous variations of aftermarket stocks for these rifles . For ease of grinding and recoil absorption I'd pick a Pachmayr recoil pad , I like the Old English model. If you've never done one before it might be easier to get a gunsmith to do it for you but if you want to try there a many tutorials out there , just be sure to protect the stock.

thanks for the advice, but I bought a ATI stock from cabelas instead.
