So I held onto a bunch of lead for way too long. I need the space. I have one 5 gallon pail of wheel weights (This is 10+ years old so no zinc or steel or stems) and five or six pails of range lead. No real time to smelt the stuff, not sure it is worth it as I don't have a real setup so to speak. Stuff is clean for the most part, a few jackets in it and a little bit of wood splinters.

What do you guy think is it worth as a fair price per pound?

I've purchased pure alloy from a reputable lead foundry for $3/lb, and I've purchased unprocessed range scrap for about $1/lb, that number may be a tad generous. Are you located on the east coast?

Where the he'll did you get those prices???

Fair would be $0.36/lb for the wheel weights. I have learned not to trust what people say is sitting at the bottom of a pail.

Range lead, you could try $0.50/lb

i have a few auto repair shops in my area that give me buckets of ww just to get them out of the way so 25 per bucket is a fair price to pay.

In AB $1/lb is not unreasonable for good lead. For ww that still need to be smelted but no zinc or iron weights in the mix, I'd expect $.50- $.75 per pound.

What is your prov/ city ????

Lots of people would be interested ..... but only if it can be done face to face... shipping????? cost

Last bucket of ww I paid $25 for .... 100 lb bathroom scale ..... only got 60 lb of ww ingots after lots of work .... the smaller lead weights do not yeald much lead ... lots of steel clips / steel weights / zinc weights

Fair price $1.25 / lb for ingots .... less for ww or range scrap

Folks I have been MIA for a while, working and working...general stuff and totally forgot about CGN altogether.
So to clarify I have 835lbs of lead...only one bucket of WW, no zinc or junk. The rest is range reclaim, some washed and cleaned of all jackets, some with jackets and a little bit of wood splitters.
