Pretty well stock 2010 m305
Putting a redfield scope on her.
Seen these barska mounts for around for 60 bucks
Guy behind the counter swears up and down on these.
Seems like the steel is pretty good.
Anyone shoot these?
Going to be shooting to 150 yards if that as a deer rifle.
So please give me the good bad and the ugly on this piece of kit
Oh also looking for a synthetic springfield stock for my M305 if you got one message me please.

If they've got a good return policy then I'd say give it a try - you might get lucky and grab a good one. On the other hand, CASM mounts are only about $120 and seem to work very well for most folks who try them.

CASM is an option. Twice the cost for an aluminum mount and you loose your irons. Irons arent a big deal to me if I have a scope, but its nice to have options. Dont really undestand CASM's 3 point mounting system either. The sides yes I understand how it is mounted through where the irons use to be. The other end closest to the barrel would one have to tap the receiver to attach the mount? Excuse mew if Im wrong Ive nener handled either part.

I bought a Barska spotting scope a while ago. My new policy is don't buy a Barska ANYTHING! If they care that little about how a spotting scope is built, I don't want to see anything else from them.

If I could point out; the CASM GEN II does ship with a BUS and for practical use as a true BUIS (intended primarily for back up or emergency use) with iron sights that are zeroed at practical distances, it seems to work very well. I've used the CASM BUS inside 250 yards, accurately, and with ease. I am sure better riflemen could go farther. For more information, this Engineering and Design Considerations write up might help better understand the mount. I am also availble 7 days a week to answer any questions but then, I tend to keep people on the telephone for a while... .

I'm currently running a CASM gen2 mount in aluminum and it works great for me. The engineering behind it is sound and it's made to very fine tolerances. So it gets my vote, especially with so many shoddy mounts out there.
