Need your advices! Need a new scope 500$ budget for huntjng

Finaly, after long brain storming, I pulled the trigger on a savage model 116 fcss in 30-06.
A member here in the forum sold me one, like new, for a very affordable price.
I already have a scope, a bushnell elite 5-15x40 with parallax adjustment. But, I am not sure if this is a good scope for this rifle, hunting big games between 100 and 500 yards.
Should I stay with parallax adjustment scope? What's this advantage?
Should a chose a fix X ? Like a 6X fix.
Should I go to rapid-z Zeiss and brake my budget?

I will not practice target with this rifle but hunting only.
That I want to trust my scope more than my wife.
And sometime I will need to shoot between 400 and 500 on caribous.so when I zoom with my scope, I want to trust it and know it will not affect the accuracy.

Seriously, what would you chose if you would be on a 500$ budget?

No reason for Parallax on a hunting scope.

For the distances you are shooting I would probably go with a 2-7 x 32, with a 3-9 x 40 at the max.

If you are willing to spend that kind of money you have plenty of options.

Leupold VX3 1.75 - 6 x 32mm should be right around $500 + tax.

Leupold VX2 2 - 7 x 33mm should be right around $400 + tax.

Zeiss Conquest is regarded to be about the best glass for the money as well, and a 3-9 x 40mm is about $500 + tax.
 
For a hunting rifle in the price range you stated, i dont think nothing else can compare to a 3X9X40 Zeiss Conquest, clearest glass in that categorie and with even less money not to say they are in the same categorie but close a Redfield Revolution 3X9X40 Accurange around 250.00 is very good... JP.

I have some interest in the zeiss rapid-z reticule, but i dont know if it worth the extra money.

Never saw it except on tv
 
You could also consider the Bushnell 4200 in a 2.5 to 10. I have one I have used for over 10 years with very good results. The rainguard coating is nice and it is quite often the scope I choose when it is going to be a rainy day. I also have a good selection of leupolds in 2.5 to 8 or 3.5 to 10 that are a little pricier but very well suited for your application. Keep your eyes open in the EE and you will find something to work for you.
 
I've owned and used the 3-9x40 Conquest, VXII 3-9x40, VX3 2.5-8x36, and the Leupold FX3 6x42. The VX3 and FX3 are every bit as bright and optically favourable as the Conquest. My favourites of the scopes mentioned are the FX3 and the Conquest, with each having their pros and cons.
